Terms of Use

Last updated 21 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and RatPool ("RatPool", "we", "us") for the RatPool game: the Android app, the game at ratpool.xyz/play, and this website. By signing in or playing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use RatPool.

RatPool currently runs on Solana devnet. Pools and the store use test USDC, which has no cash value. These terms already describe how real-money pools will work, so nothing changes in substance when they arrive; we will tell you before that happens.

1. Who can play

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Paid pools must be legal where you live. Online games of skill played for money are restricted or banned in some countries and states. It is your responsibility to check, and you must not play paid pools where they are not allowed, or through a VPN or other means to hide where you are.
  • You may not play if you are subject to sanctions, or live in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions.
  • One person, one account. You may not play pools with more than one Google account, play on someone else's account, or let someone else play on yours.

We may ask you to confirm your age or where you live, and may close access to paid pools where we believe these rules are not met.

2. Your account and wallet

You sign in with Google. Our sign-in provider, Privy, then creates a Solana wallet for you. That wallet is yours: RatPool never holds its keys and cannot move your funds. You can export it from Settings in the game. Keep your Google account secure, because whoever controls it controls your RatPool wallet.

Transactions on Solana are final. We cannot reverse a transfer, recover funds sent to a wrong address, or restore a wallet whose keys are lost.

3. Pools

A pool is a match that players enter by staking the same amount of USDC. There are four pools: 0.10, 1, 10 and 100 USDC per entry. Matches in the 0.10 and 1 pools last five minutes; in the 10 and 100 pools, ten. You start with the 0.10 pool; playing any pool twice opens the next one.

  • Joining. Joining approves your entry. Nothing leaves your wallet while you wait. A pool starts when at least six players have staked; until then the room waits, and you can leave.
  • The start. When the pool starts, every approved entry is collected into an escrow on the Solana blockchain. From then on your entry is at risk and is not refundable, except as described under refunds.
  • Scoring. Points come from eliminations and from holding the moving zone. The game's room server records the match and decides the final order. Its order is final, except where we find cheating or a fault (section 7).
  • Payouts. RatPool keeps 10% of each pool. The other 90% is paid to the top three: 50% to first, 30% to second and 20% to third. Fourth place and below receive nothing. Payouts are sent by the escrow straight to the winners' wallets.
  • Invite rewards. When a player you invited finishes on the podium, 1% of that pool goes to you, paid out of RatPool's 10%, never out of the players' 90%.
  • Refunds. If a pool that has started is not paid out within 30 minutes, the escrow refuses any payout and every entry is returned in full, with no fee taken.
  • No house players. Pools contain only players who staked. RatPool does not enter its own players or bots into a pool.

The fee and payout split are fixed in each pool when it is created and shown before you join. We may change them for future pools, never for one already open.

4. Free Play

Free Play costs nothing and pays nothing. It is played on your device against computer-controlled rats, and is always open.

5. The store

Weapons are bought with USDC from your wallet. A purchase gives you the right to use that weapon in RatPool for as long as RatPool runs; it is not a token, cannot be resold or transferred, and has no value outside the game. Purchases are final and not refundable, except where the law says otherwise or where we charged you in error. The free pistol is always yours.

We may rebalance weapons (their damage, rate of fire and other numbers) to keep the game fair. Rebalancing is not grounds for a refund.

6. Network fees

RatPool currently pays the Solana network fees for joining pools, payouts, refunds and store purchases. We may stop doing so in the future, and will tell you before we do.

7. Fair play

You agree not to:

  • use cheats, scripts, bots, aim assistance, modified versions of the app, or anything that automates or alters play;
  • work with other players to fix a result, share winnings by arrangement, or deliberately lose;
  • play pools with more than one account, or farm eliminations of the same player;
  • exploit bugs, interfere with the servers, or attack other players' devices or accounts;
  • use offensive, impersonating or misleading rat names.

The game checks every match for play that no honest player can produce. Where we find cheating, collusion or a fault that changed a result, we may void the match, withhold or reverse its rewards where that is still possible, and suspend or close the accounts involved. Being skilled is never cheating, and we will not act on skill alone.

8. The service

RatPool is provided "as is". Online games depend on networks, devices, servers and a blockchain we do not control. Matches can be disrupted, a connection can drop mid-match, and transactions can be delayed. We do our best to keep RatPool running and fair, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or that any result will be in your favour.

We may change, pause or end any part of RatPool, including pools, prices and weapons. If we ever close RatPool, open pools will be settled or refunded through the escrow before we do.

The app is updated regularly, and some updates are required to keep playing.

9. Your risk

Staking in a pool means you can lose your entry. A podium finish is never guaranteed. Only play with money you can afford to lose. Our responsible play page explains how to keep it a game.

USDC and Solana carry their own risks, including changes in value, network outages and changes in law. RatPool is a game, not an investment, and nothing we say is financial advice.

10. Limits of our responsibility

As far as the law allows, RatPool is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by things outside our control, including your device, your network, Google, Privy, Solana or other third parties. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid RatPool in fees and store purchases in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Our content

The game, its art, characters, sounds, code and the RatPool name belong to RatPool or its licensors. You may play and share videos and screenshots of your games. You may not copy, sell or reverse-engineer the game.

12. Ending

You can stop playing at any time; your wallet remains yours. We may suspend or close access for a breach of these terms, or where the law requires. Your funds in your own wallet are never affected by closing an account.

13. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the game before they apply. Playing after that means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, write to us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. Laws that protect you as a consumer where you live still apply.
